Three precedents with the same planning ideas – DAFA Tatum Waterway (Miami), AstraZeneca DISC (Cambridge) and IBM Headquarters (Armonk) – and our own identity: sawtooth rooms and the bronze khatam screen.

3. IBM World Headquarters - Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), completed 1997, Armonk, New York, USA: Z-plan building following the site contours in a wooded landscape.

Our identity: sawtooth guest rooms (4.00 m bays, facade folded at about 45 deg) giving every room an angled sea view and a private balcony; original bronze CNC khatam screen - 6 mm marine aluminium 5083-H321, panel 1200 x 2400 mm, 300 mm pattern pitch, 34 mm straps, 42 % open.
