Distribution of circulation and functions

Horizontal flows kept separate: (1) guests - waterfall axis, porte-cochere and drop-off fountain, lobby; (2) VIP - west entry with its own lobby and lift; (3) banquet guests - own entry and pre-function hall; (4) staff, deliveries and waste - north service road to loading, BOH and basement; (5) annex - own drive-through and the glazed link bridge.

Vertical: guest lift cores in each wing, separate service / luggage lifts and service stairs to every floor pantry and linen room, protected fire stairs per wing. Function zoning colour-coded on every level.

Circulation plans R17 (8 sheets, WFY-CIR-101 to 108): short flow arrows into every space, people on the routes, shaded corridors and a bubble diagram of space relationships under each plan. Fire & life safety plans R17 (WFY-FLS) show the escape side of the same routes.

Lift traffic check (CIBSE Guide D): 6 guest lifts in 2 groups of 3, 1,275 kg / 17 persons at 2.0 m/s; round trip 117.8 s, interval 39.3 s (5-star target ≤ 40 s) and 37 % of the population moved in 5 minutes – adequate; 3 service lifts and a fire-fighting lift in each fire-fighting shaft.
